Premier and U16 Each Notch Wins Versus Bay State

Fabio Klaey’s unassisted goal at 6:18 of the third period proved to be the difference as the CT JR Rangers Premier defeated the Baystate Breakers 2-1 on Saturday.

Craig Skudalski added the other goal in his Rangers debut.

Nick Abbene and Emile Levesque each had one assist.

Jake Thoubboron had 27 saves in the victory


Ben Welsh had two goals and the shootout winner as the CT JR Rangers U16 defeated the Baystate Breakers 4-3 on Saturday.

Ryan Carmichael had one goal, while Kevin Tang and Ryan McLinskey each had one assist.

Maxwell Christian stopped 34 shots in the win.

CT Yankees Now CT Junior Rangers

Stamford, CT - The CT Yankees Hockey Club is honored to now be known as the Connecticut Junior Rangers.  This incorporates the Premier Junior Team, 18U Team, and 16U Team that play in the United States Premier Hockey League ( Tryout times and dates are listed below.


"This is an exciting opportunity for players in the tri-state area to be able to compete and develop at the highest possible levels,” states Jeff Hamilton, former National Hockey League player and Program Director of the CT Junior Rangers Hockey Club. “With an incomparable depth of competition, exposure, and coaching experience, the Connecticut Junior Rangers will attract the region’s top players and grow the sport of hockey for years to come. With the recent addition of three teams into the highly touted USPHL the Connecticut Junior Rangers are well positioned to prepare hockey players within this group for collegiate and professional hockey.”


The Connecticut Junior Rangers commitment to excellence extends beyond the rink and the support of the education, leadership, teamwork and community service components of their players’ lives is paramount.  The Connecticut Junior Rangers look to redefine the cornerstone of transformational development in hockey and their players can expect an elevation in their hockey experience as a result.


Located in Stamford, Connecticut, Chelsea Piers CT (CPCT) will be the home facility for the Connecticut Junior Rangers.  This multi-sport complex is the premier skating and athletic facility in the area.  Connecticut Junior Ranger players have direct access to off-ice speed, strength and cardiovascular training through Bluestreak, as well as educational support through the Greenwich Education Group.  Players will also have custom NHL style locker rooms, video analysis rooms, and a shooting and skill zone.  All housed under one roof, CPCT provides a preeminent environment for hockey, athletic, and academic development.
